The EyeCare LITEcheck is specially designed for home and indoor use. Lighting has been associated with productivity and myopic aggrevation. For general reading, a lighting of 300 Lux is necessary, while intensive reading requires 500 Lux. 

For more detail work, higher light intensity is needed. There are standards stated for the safety of walkways, stairways, work areas, although it is not mandated by the authorities. There are ideal lighting requirements for every task and area and these will help improve productivity and reduce stress to the eyes.
